Breastfeeding Pinays Peer Counselors Training & Certification Programme
Let your passion turn into power of information. The power to touch a mother’s life. The power to help and heal. The power to make a difference.
From February 2017 to May 2017, trainers from Arugaan and Breastfeeding Pinays will be visiting different cities and provinces in the Philippines. This is our initial survey to help pool mothers and families together in the area to ensure we have the much-needed participants to push through with the trainings.
ABOUT THE TRAINING:
The Breastfeeding Pinays Peer Counselors Training and Certification Programme is one of the most comprehensive training on breastfeeding and peer counseling. It is a 16-hour (2-day) hands-on training to be able to confidently counsel mother-babies. You are taught breastfeeding management, peer counseling, lactation massage, monitoring of our laws and creation of mother support groups.
Tamang KAIN (Kid and Infant Nutrition) is a half-day seminar on the basic how/what/when to feed your baby. It also talks about the best start in infant nutrition and child-led feeding. It discusses many details about feedinga picky eater and nutritional boost for a slow-weight gaining baby. And of course ECCD (Early Childhood Care and Development) in relation to food.
ABOUT THE TRAINERS:
Velvet Escario-Roxas, Rechilda Talle and Cristina Alterado are breastfeeding counselors, educators and trainors from Arugaan and Breastfeeding Pinays. Collectively, they have trained, taught and counseled hundreds of mother-baby dyads for a successful breastfeeding journey and to be hands-on counselors. Velvet and Nanay Rich are international resource speakers.
